GAP raises young leaders to obey the final command of Jesus — sending them out to make disciples who make disciples. It is where pioneers are formed: you will be discipled life-on-life by an experienced companion inside a NAMS base community, then equipped and empowered for whatever God is calling you to do — planting churches, leading ministry on the field, or returning home to bear fruit that lasts.
GAP is a leadership development program that raises disciple-making leaders through life-on-life discipleship with experienced companions inside a NAMS base community. Be transformed through hands-on mentored ministry, cross-cultural immersion and practical online curriculum. It is a comprehensive apprenticeship beside someone who has been there, done that, and got the t-shirt — and who is passionate about helping you grow into the leader God has called you to be.
What comes after GAP? Some apprentices integrate fully into NAMS as Companions and leaders. Some return to their home church with greater maturity and capacity to bear fruit. Our goal is raising up disciple-making leaders who will produce kingdom fruit wherever the Lord sends them!
GJ served in Bangkok, Thailand with Rev. Manik Corea and Isaac Lasky. He grew in his ability to become a disciple-making-disciple through prison ministry, sports evangelism and student ministry. He is now thriving leading an education program for slum children, church-planting, and launched and continues to lead the GAP program in India.
Trained under GJ and mentored through GAP, PD set out to translate the GAP curriculum into his local language, plant a new community of faith, and share the gospel widely. In three months alone: 52 people heard the gospel from him, 71 more from his disciples, a new church community was planted, and baptism preparations began. In the years since completing GAP, the Lord has used him to lead over 200 people to Christ and seen four house churches planted.
Teen first came into NAMS orbit through joining our church plant — All Nations Church Bangkok — while she was still a university student. Discipled by Isaac Lasky through prison ministry visits to detained refugees, she overcame her fear of leading others and completed GAP — now serving part-time as operations director of All Nations Church Bangkok and Assistant Director of Student Life with a local foundation, Imagine Thailand.

GAP is a single program you can enter at different depths. Start with a taste, step into intentional discipleship, or give a year to deep formation. A nervous prospect can begin on the bottom rung; the full year is where apprentices are truly made.

GAP runs inside established NAMS base communities, so the places we offer it shift over time. Today, apprentices are mentored in Bangkok, Thailand, and in India. And the fruit travels: graduated apprentices have gone out from England, the USA, Chile, Thailand, Kenya, Nepal, and India.

GAP can't scale without funded scholarships and covered program costs. Churches and partners sponsor apprentices on the field — so the next disciple-maker isn't held back by funding.
Like our missionaries, apprentices raise their own support to be on the field. We give you time to do this before your start date.
There is a program cost that varies by location and length, which the apprentice also contributes toward. Exact figures are set once you choose your location and duration, but an international apprentice can expect it to cost around $1,000 per month and a local apprentice around $500 per month.
Cost should never be the only reason someone can't come. Scholarships are available — ask us about support toward program costs.
